Black Pinto with white mane, white tip on black tail, four stockings, and a bald face or large undefined blaze. He came with either the black snap-on saddle (see separate record) or a charcoal color hard plastic newer saddle, and chain reins. The breast collar is either all gold, or just the studs and straps are gold, and the bridle is all gold.
The newer hard plastic saddle was released in 1968. Model was available in the Showcase Collection boxes 1971-1972 as #550. Not advertised in the 1974 catalog.
Original models had no mold stamps, then around 1970 the USA Stamp was added. The white picture boxes are more difficult to find.
Besides size, the main difference between the Western Horse and the Western Pony is three studs on the bridle, instead of the four found on the Pony.
