Proud Arabian Mare: Alabaster - Glossy Grooming/Candy Kits

Glossy Alabaster with grey mane and tail, grey hooves, and grey muzzle (same as #8). In 1958, Sears sold this model with a vinyl grooming kit, that included a comb, note book, ball point pen, nail clipper, and gold leaf to personalize. Original price $2.97. "This is probably the rarest PAM of them all, the Grooming Kit set, found sealed in the box with all of her accessories. She and the PAF and Western Pony were sold in the 1958 Sears Christmas catalog. She is 1 of only 2 sets I'm aware of, both of which turned up in the Atlanta area. Because they were catalog items, I would think more must be lurking out there somewhere, but for now, they remain incredibly scarce." - Kirsten Wellman.

Also in 1958, the PAM and PAF were sold through Montgomery Ward as #53T3593. The mare had plastic saddle bags filled with candy. Original price $2.79.

In 1960, the PAM was sold through Sears as #87N8762, and included saddlebags filled with candy. Original price $1.97.
