"We found this glossy Copenhagen Belgian in the Breyer Archive Room. He was so pretty and colorful that we thought he'd brighten up this grey and icy cold day. The Belgian was sculpted by Christian Hess and was first released in 1964." www.breyerhorses.com. This was posted on the Breyer Facebook page in December 2010. Unknown date on when this model was painted, but it is a newer paint job, and not a vintage from the 1960's.
